There are lots of wake surfing videos online that you can watch to help you get started and learn advanced tricks. Youtube is a good place to start, but you can also find other well-made wake surfing videos on the websites of board manufacturers like Liquid Force, CWB, Ronix, Hyperlite, etc..
Learn One Move at a Time
If you are trying to learn a new move or trick, the key is to learn one thing at a time. If you try to do too much at once, you can get overwhelmed and frustrated. Take notes when you are watching videos, but only take one idea out to the water with you. Perfect one move at a time, and you will be able to progress faster.
Watch for Clues
Also note the boards that people are riding in the videos. If the board has a swallow tail or the fins are placed strategically, this can give you clues as to which board to use or how to arrange your fins to learn the moves you want.
